Shipping policy

 

We are currently only able to ship wines within Australia.

Credit and debit card payments are processed at the time an order is placed. Transactions will appear as "SP * VIRIDIAN.WINE" on your bank statement. If you have any questions about your payment, please email us at orders@viridianwines.com.

Christmas 2025

Our shipping dates are based on the Australia Post Christmas sending dates, with additional time for packing and handling. These are for metro locations only; allow an extra week for rural and remote locations.

  • Last day for shipping to Northern Territory: order by 5pm Thursday 11 December
  • Last day for shipping to Western Australia: order by 5pm Monday 15 December
  • Last day for shipping to other mainland locations: order by 5pm Wednesday 17 December
  • Last day for shipping within Tasmania: order by 5pm Sunday 21 December

Local delivery and pickup

  • Last day for local delivery: order by 5pm Monday 22 December, for delivery on Tuesday 23 December
  • Last day for pickup from the vineyard: order by 5pm Monday 22 December, for pickup on Tuesday 23 December

Australia Post

Australia Post is the carrier used for domestic shipping. Choose the “Australia Post” option at checkout. There is no minimum order, but wines are shipped in multiples of six or twelve bottles (you can mix and match!). Freight charges are based on Australia Post Wine eParcel prices for your delivery postcode, including their fuel surcharge, and we reserve the right to correct any errors in shipping rates.

We aim to prepare your order within one business day, but note that outbound parcels are only shipped on Mondays and Fridays, so it may take a few days for your parcel to enter the postal system. Our shipping estimates are based on recent Australia Post delivery times for 95% of parcels to the destination state. Delivery is during normal business hours. In the event that the goods are not received, then a card will be left and package returned to the nearest Australia Post office for collection. Signature upon delivery of a person aged 18 years and older is required.

Local pickup

Local pickup is available directly from the vineyard for Tasmanian orders. You can select the “Collect from the vineyard” option at checkout. There is no minimum order and pickup is free.

We aim to prepare your order for collection within two business days. Once you receive an email confirming your order is ready for pickup, you can come to the vineyard for collection. A person aged 18 years or older must pickup the order.

Local delivery

Local delivery is available in many parts of Hobart and the lower Derwent Valley. If you are in an eligible postcode, you can select the “Local delivery” option at checkout. There is no minimum order, but orders below $100 may attract a small charge.

We deliver every Thursday, for orders received before 5pm on Wednesday. A person aged 18 years or older must accept delivery.
